CNS Promotes Nicholas Ashley to Chief Governance Officer

CNS Chief Governance Officer, Nick AshleyBakersfield, Calif. (Mar. 8, 2024) - Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS), a leader in traumatic brain injury and stroke rehabilitation services, today announced the promotion of Nicholas Ashley, J.D., M.D.R., to chief governance officer.

“Nick has been instrumental to the growth and expansion of CNS,” says David Harrington, president and chief executive officer of Centre for Neuro Skills. “I’m excited to continue working closely with him to advance patient care.”

During his nearly twelve-year tenure at CNS, Ashley served as general counsel, providing legal oversight across all seven clinics throughout California and Texas. As chief governance officer, Ashley will continue to provide oversight while ensuring regulatory standards, compliance, and best practices of the company’s operations. Ashley will work closely with CNS leadership and the advisory board to support business growth initiatives, strategy, and decision-making.  

Ashley received his Juris Doctor degree and Master’s in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law. Prior to CNS, Ashley served as an Associate Attorney representing businesses in the Bakersfield community. Passionate about post-acute patient care, Ashley lectures at seminars focusing on ethical and legal practices in brain injury rehabilitation.

The Bakersfield clinic is the CNS’ flagship location, established in 1980. CNS has two other clinics across California in Los Angeles and San Francisco and four Texas clinics in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and Austin. Through inpatient, outpatient, day treatment and residential rehabilitation programs, CNS provides tailored neurorehabilitation therapy to its patients.
