The most commonly treated brain injuries at CNS are traumatic brain injury, mild traumatic brain injury, and stroke. In addition, CNS can tailor treatment for COVID-19 patients who present with neurological symptoms or diagnoses appropriate for our level of care.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

In-depth therapies address the full spectrum of care that helps patients relearn vital skills such as self-care, safety, hygiene, communication, appropriate behavior, physical functionality, and safety. Independence and returning to a meaningful, productive life is our treatment objective.

Stroke

The origins of stroke are complex. A malady long associated with the elderly and smokers, it was assumed that if stroke occurred, permanent brain damage was inevitable. But stroke appears in a vast spectrum of people, and can be caused by substance abuse, stress, cardiac conditions, genetic abnormalities, and medical comorbidities. As thinking broadens about populations affected, beliefs about lifelong damage are also being reconsidered.

Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI)

The onset and consequences of a concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI) can be easily missed by the injured person, their loved ones, and physicians. Whether the cause is a sports injury, a fall, or a work accident, Centre for Neuro Skills has the expertise to identify and treat this type of malady.

Post COVID-19 Neuro Injury

CNS can tailor treatment for post-COVID-19 patients who experience neurological complications as a result of the virus. Comorbidities related to severe COVID-19 can also be addressed in tandem with neurorehabilitation offered at CNS. Cognitive impairment, memory loss and attention deficits can be associated with infection and are core components of care at all facilities.
