Adopt as policy[edit]

RevDel is an important enough tool that it should be covered by an official policy. I therefore propose adopting the current version as policy. This policy simply explains what RevDel is and documents the current RevDel practice. Suggestions to change the current practice are not part of this RFC (if necessary, start a new section below). - Support Adoption as policy. Mostly common sense clarification on how to use this tool. --Jarekt (talk) 03:49, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
- Support Seems reasonable (and similar to other project policies, a good sign of reasonableness) QU TalkQu 22:09, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

- Support, already de-facto policy. Jafeluv (talk) 13:00, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
- Support, Looks good, should be official policy. --Captain-tucker (talk) 11:07, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- I support the policy, but I wonder about the use of the word "redact" and its variants in several places. It is not a word I would choose for a general English speaking audience. How many of our en-2 or en-3 colleagues will have to look it up? Yes, I see that it is linked, but should a word that we must link be part of official policy? How about "hidden from public view" at first reference and "hidden" thereafter? Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 14:53, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
- Fair point. I think "redacted" was used to distinguish from oversighting, where the material is completely hidden; but it's not really necessary. I've amended the page to remove the word. Rd232 (talk) 15:31, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

- Support. Definitely, this should be an official policy. Allan Aguilar (talk) 19:53, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
- Adopted Seems to be unanimous consensus, plus this has been open for one month. Techman224Talk 19:17, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Messed up[edit]
File:Standard of the Prime Minister of Yugoslavia (1937–1941).svg
I've messed up big time. I've uploaded a lot of different versions of these files because there were a lot of different sources. I've found the correct sources but the previous versions of the files are incorrect reconstructions and i am worried that in the future, someone could without knowledge revert them. I know this is a massive request, but can you delete all the versions that i've uploaded over those files exept the current ones. You should probably ask for help from another administrator so that you can do it faster if you take on the job.ХЕРАЛДИКА СССС (talk) 11:44, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
