Alex Wong – Achilles Rupture

Alex Wong became a household name when he auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance in 2010. So You Think You Can Dance is a reality television series which is now broadcast all over the world.
Over 5 weeks Alex gained millions of fans as he dazzled America with his awesome routines and personality until he ruptured his Achilles Tendon in training.
Alex underwent surgery on the 13th of July, and has been keeping fans up to date using Twitter

In the short term and for severe pain see your doctor or pharmacist who can give you the appropriate anti-inflammatory medicine and / or pain killers.
There are some anti-inflammatory gels and rubs that you can apply directly to the skin if you don’t want to or are unable to take oral anti-inflammatories.
You can apply Ice packs to your elbow and forearm for 15 minutes at a time.
The method I prefer for your elbow pain is to make up an Ice Block and then rub this over the affected area.

Tennis Elbow Tendonitis / Tendinitis – degenerative changes in the tendon are caused by repetitive movements or overuse of the muscle and tendon unit. Any activity that involves forceful gripping and / or quick repeated movements of the hand can lead to these changes and Tennis Elbow Tendonitis arm pain.
Between 40 and 50% of all tennis players have experienced Tennis Elbow pain at least once, and for many it can persist for a long time and affect their participation in their sport.
